The Philosophy
Single varietal expression of the red “unruly” grape Mandilaria that often needs a blending partner to soften its intensely tannic character. In the case of Hestia, the wine has been expertly crafted to highlight the grape’s approachable side, featuring beautifully integrated tannins, a complex aromatic bouquet and refreshing acidity.
Flavor Characteristics
Bright, ruby color of medium intensity. Expressive aromas of dark fruits, such as cherries and plums, that combine nicely with notes of licorice and vanilla notes in a perfectly balanced ensemble. Elegant and full of freshness with noticeable yet refined tannins and cherry aftertaste. It has the structure and the depth of flavor to benefit from further aging.
